WeTeachNYC Help
About WeTeachNYC
WeTeachNYC is an online space for educators to connect to resources, learning experiences, and colleagues.
NYCDOE and WeTeachNYC
WeTeachNYC was created by the New York City Department of Education to help educators access the latest NYCDOE-aligned resources and professional learning activities all from one place, at any time, from anywhere.
WeTeachNYC partners with NYCDOE school- and central-based teams to create, curate, and share resources and learning experiences that are aligned with NYCDOE standards and priorities.
WeTeachNYC Library
WeTeachNYC provides high-quality resources for educators with a wide range of experience across all subject areas. The NYCDOE works closely with school- and central-based teams to add content that educators find most valuable, in and out of the classroom, and continually update the WeTeachNYC Library.
WeTeachNYC invites you to view new and trending resources on the homepage, to review searching for resources tips, or to submit requests for new resources.
Ordering Core Curriculum Instructional Materials
WeTeachNYC provides online curriculum, instructional, and professiona learning resources.
For information regarding ordering hard copies of materials, please visit the NYCDOE Employee Infohub.
For technical assistance and questions about ordering text books and materials for schools, please contact the Division of Teaching and Learning's Service Center at: curriculum@schools.nyc.gov or (718) 935-3334.
WeTeachNYC Communities
WeTeachNYC partners with NYCDOE school- and central-based teams to develop customized online classes and blended communities that provide NYCDOE educators with flexible, personalized, and social professional learning experiences.
Get answers to specific questions and How-to Guides in the WeTeachNYC Help Center: Communities.
NYC's Approach
WeTeachNYC helps NYCDOE educators to keep up with the latest information about NYC teaching and learning including: current curriculum options, instructional practices, ways to support professional learning in schools, and NYC’s Vision for School Improvement resources.
Technical Requirements
WeTeachNYC works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox on desktop or mobile devices.
Due to compatibility issues, it is recommended that users do not use Internet Explorer 8 browser and instead use Chrome or another internet browser.
Google Chrome is an approved NYCDOE browser and NYCDOE educators can update to the latest version of Chrome on their NYCDOE classroom computers without administrator approval.
For additional help with browsers or other technical support please call the DT&L Service Center at 212-374-6646.

WeTeachNYC Library and Search
The WeTeachNYC Library provides high-quality resources for educators with a wide range of experience across all subject areas.
This Link has been Updated
Are you getting a "This link has been updated" screen when clicking on resource?
Try using private/incognito mode on your browser and redo your search from the WeTeachNYC homepage. If that does not work, try clearing your history and/or Cache.
If none of the above work, try using a different browser. Microsoft Edge does not return "This link has been updated" message for current resources.
Searching for Resources
Use the search bar on the WeTeachNYC homepage to search for resources within the Library.
“Popular search terms” appear above the search bar on the homepage and in the WeTeachNYC Library to indicate the most popular recent searches. Click on a search term to run the same search.
You can also search for resources using the search bar on the Library page, or anywhere you see a “Search the Library” bar throughout WeTeachNYC.
Note that resources within Communities are attached to specific communities, and therefore not included in general WeTeachNYC search. Visit WeTeachNYC Help Center: Communities to learn more about accessing and searching classes and communities.
Searching Tips
Filtering
Filters narrow down your search results by only displaying resources that match the selected criteria. Use as many filters as needed, and add or remove filters to instantly change the results listed. You may also download a step-by-step guide to filtering.

Sorting
Click on the green word(s) following “Sort by” to sort results by relevance to search terms, date added to the Library, or most downloaded.
Collections
Related resources may be grouped into collections if their topics closely align and/or they supplement each other. For example, a collection may include a video and a professional learning activity related to that video, or sequential instructional guides.
When viewing the details of a collection, you may download all resources within that collection at once, or review the list of included resources to download resources individually.
