Growing Up and Staying Safe: Family-Facing Materials

This collection contains family-facing materials in all 10 NYC Public Schools languages to accompany Growing Up and Staying Safe: New York City K-12 HIV Education Curriculum and support implementation of the required annual HIV lessons for all students in grades K-12. Schools must send each parent/guardian a notification letter and grade-level overview prior to their child receiving lessons from Growing Up and Staying Safe. The grade-level overviews provide parents with a summary of the HIV lessons their student will receive from Growing Up and Staying Safe

Schools must send Grades K-6 HIV Parent Notification Letters to parents/guardians, signed by the principal, prior to their child receiving HIV lessons from Growing Up and Staying Safe: New York City K-12 HIV Education Curriculum. Schools should use the templates below to print the letter on school letterhead with the principal's signature.
