Grades 7-12 HIV Parent Notification Letters: Growing Up and Staying Safe

Schools must send Grades 7-12 HIV Parent Notification Letters, signed by the principal, prior to their child receiving HIV lessons from Growing Up and Staying Safe: New York City K-12 HIV Education Curriculum. The parent notification letter explains the opt-out process for lessons that teach about methods of HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention. Schools should use the templates below to print the letter on school letterhead with the principal's signature.
