Module 4: Achievement

In Module 4: Achievement, educators are introduced to "Achievement," the fourth of the 5 A's in Dr. Jamila Lyiscott's Liberation Literacies Pedagogy. In this module, educators  will develop critical competencies around how student-centered pedagogical practices inform how schools and educational institutions must reimagine themselves across in-person and online learning environments.  Please note that throughout each module, it is essential that you engage in all texts, activities, and reflection on a personal level before you begin to implement a Liberation Literacies approach into your pedagogy. Each module is adaptable for both you and students, but personal development must precede pedagogical impact.

Included Resources

In Module 4: Achievement, educators will develop critical competencies around how student-centered pedagogical practices inform how schools and educational institutions must reimagine themselves across in-person and online learning environments.

These worksheets, which are designed to be used in tandem with the resources in the PowerPoint in this module, will give you an opportunity to rethink how you typically conceptualize achievement with your students, and support you with assessing your own commitments to achieving equity and justice in all facets of your pedagogical approaches.
