Developing a liberatory consciousness

All humans now have internalized the attitudes, understandings, and patterns of thoughts that allow them to function in and collaborate within society, whether they benefit from them or are placed at a disadvantage by them.  A laboratory consciousness enables humans to maintain an awareness of the dynamics of oppression characterizing society without giving into despair and hopelessness about that condition.
