Classroom challenges program (Mathematics Assessment Project)
Learn about the Classroom Challenges formative assessment program created by the Mathematics Assessment Project (MAP.) Classroom Challenges include concept development and problem solving lessons. Information for teachers and coaches looking to implement this program can be found here.
MAP is part of the Math Design Collaborative initiated by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The project aims to create well-engineered tools for formative and summative assessment that expose students’ mathematical knowledge and reasoning, helping teachers guide them towards improvement and monitor progress. MAP resources (including lesson plans, tasks and PD modules) are available for free and without signing in on their website.
