Quality Review Rubric module 2.2 assessment collection

This collection contains the Quality Review Rubric professional learning materials for the 2.2 Assessment indicator of the Instructional Core. The purpose of this module is to deepen your understanding of the rubric for the school community to use as a tool for school improvement. The Quality Review process utilizes a rubric to look at school practices and their impact, with a focus on patterns and trends. The Facilitator's Guide and 2.2 Assessment Overview Video serve as an introduction to our professional learning modules to help you understand what you can expect as you engage in the activities designed to deepen your understanding of Indicator 2.2.​

The facilitator guide and overview video serve as an introduction to our professional learning modules to help participants understand what to expect as they engage in the activities designed to deepen their understanding of Indicator 2.2.​, offer facilitation guidance, and links to all activities within the 2.2 Assessment module.

Activity 1: Deepen Understanding guides participants in determining what they already know about Indicator 2.2 and questions they may have before beginning this module.​

Activity 2: Deepen Understanding, Key Language guides participants in taking a deep dive into the rubric to identify differences in key language across ratings for each sub-indicator of 2.2.​

Activity 3: Deepen Understanding, Practice and Impact guides participants in developing a deeper understanding of the relationship between school practices and impact for Indicator 2.2.​

Activity 4: Gather Evidence guides participants through collecting and reflecting on evidence of their school's assessment practices from a variety of sources.

Activity 5: Reflect, guides participants in reflecting on their schoolwide assessment practices by sub-indicator, as well as the impact that these practices have on teaching and learning.

Activity 6: Self Assess guides participants in assessing the assessment practices in place at their school and the impact of those practices through the lens of the Quality Review rubric.

Activity 7: Action Planning guides participants to use all that they have learned about the QR rubric and their school's practices and impact to create a viable action plan for school improvement.​
