WWII & NYC

These curriculum materials are based on the 2012-2013 New-York Historical Society exhibition WWII & NYC  (World War II and New York City) and explore the critical role that the metropolis played in the national war effort. Examining how the conflict forever changed the cosmopolitan, heavily immigrant city, the resources in this curriculum material probe topics such as Nazism and Fascism in New York, military service, children during WWII, and African Americans’ participation in and engagement with the war.
