Using exit tickets to drive instruction facilitation guide

Through this professional learning activity, participants will be able to explain how to check student mastery of content and the effectiveness of instruction with an exit ticket. Participants will analyze the effectiveness of an exit ticket by checking for alignment to lesson outcomes and demonstrate their understanding of best practices for planning exit tickets by writing an exemplar ticket for their respective grade assignments/lesson plans.

Participants will also be able to explain how to sort and analyze student work by categorizing formative assessment data into three buckets: met or exceeded the objective, partially met the objective, and did not meet the objective. Participants will utilize formative assessment data to create an action plan for next steps in their instruction.
