This is the facilitator's guide that accompanies the slides, "Self-care is empowerment." Self-care is the necessity to do things that are good for our physical, emotional, or psychological well-being. Self-care is any healthy thing you do to take care of yourself so you can stay physically, mentally, and emotionally well. Self-care benefits include better physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. Mental health is just as essential as physical health. Normalizing the conversation about mental health empowers people to talk and get the help they need. This presentation aims to create supportive environments inside and outside the classroom and enhance student skills in seeking mental health support.
