NYCDOE: Passport to Social Studies – Grade 10 Unit 3 Text Set

Note to Teachers: To help with remote learning, student graphic organizers for this unit are available on the NYCDOE TeachHub in a Google Drive folder along with Passport to Social Studies lessons that have been adjusted for remote learning. Access these materials by following these instructions.

This Passport to Social Studies text set is for the third unit of the Global History and Geography I course, titled: Unresolved Global Conflict (1914 – 1991 CE). The curated collection of documents included in the text set supports students’ examination of the causes and legacies of World War I and World War II, and how these wars led to geopolitical changes, human and environmental devastation, and finally attempts to bring stability and peace. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the corresponding Passport to Social Studies Grade 9 Unit Guide. The primary, secondary, and tertiary sources identified for each lesson in the set have been selected to support the lesson's objective and suggested activities. For each lesson there may be a selection of print-based texts, images, maps, or photographs.

It is designed to be used in conjunction with the corresponding Passport to Social Studies Grade 10 Unit Guide.
