Representing and interpreting proportional relationships

This Common Core-aligned unit builds directly on work on proportional reasoning and the use of expressions and equations from 6th and 7th grade and extends the ideas more formally into the realm of algebra. This unit continues to deepen students' abilities to model real-world mathematical problems with graphs, tables, and equations; to understand the connections among these models; and to use these models to better understand problems. The sequence of tasks asks students to represent and interpret proportional relationships graphically and algebraically.
