How I roll
This packet contains a curriculum‐embedded task aligned to the Common Core Learning standards and instructional supports. The task is embedded in a 2-3 week unit on probability. The final task asks students to identify the number of outcomes possible from rolling two number cubes, to consider the likelihood of one of the cubes "winning" on any given roll by showing the sample space, and to determine the probability of a certain outcome. Students can arrive at their answers using models such as tree diagrams, organized lists, and charts, and by calculating with the fundamental counting principle.
