Authentic learning: Promoting critical thinking through experiential learning
This packet, created by The Brooklyn New School, contains resources and guidance for classroom and school-wide strategies for infusing a curriculum with experiential and hands on learning. The packet which is infused with images of students participating in various outdoor learning experiences also includes a document outlining the schools grade based curriculum themes and school-wide structures that support their experiential and interdisciplinary learning approach. Additionally educators will find thematic curriculum outlines as well as a document containing questions that educators can ask themselves to help guide inquiry across grades. At the back of the packet educators will find a document outlining some of the schools recommended resources and partnerships.
