Teaching to Transform was created to aid teachers with understanding the specific needs of struggling readers and writers and offers concrete strategies for many areas of literacy for which struggling readers and writers may need additional support- word recognition, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Teaching to Transform also provides a short description of multiple instructional practices that are highly effective with struggling readers and writers.
