Sample feedback conversation videos

These sample feedback conversations between school leaders and teachers are intended to serve as examples of collaborative exchanges and to generate reflection and discussion among school leaders and teachers on how the conversations might be even more so. Note that these sample feedback conversations are fictional and are role played by NYC DOE educators so these can be used as a tool for professional learning.

As you watch a sample feedback conversation, take note of the words and actions you see.  Use your observations to inform your own preparation for these conversations. Note that feedback conversations should be tailored to teachers’ experiences, strengths, and areas for growth; thus, these samples are not roadmaps for every conversation.  Rather, the goal is to support school leaders and teachers in envisioning what a successful feedback conversation might look like and to provide some strategies they may find helpful.
