Session 2: Examining the Framework
After engaging in this session, participants will be able to articulate what the components of the Framework for Teaching are and how they can support improving teacher practice.

After engaging in this session, participants will be able to articulate what the components of the Framework for Teaching are and how they can support improving teacher practice.
Component 1e: Designing Coherent Instruction addresses the design of learning activities, instructional materials and resources, instructional groups, and lesson and unit structure.
Component 3b: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques addresses the quality of questions, discussion techniques, and student participation.
Component 3d: Using Assessment in Instruction addresses assessment criteria, monitoring of student learning, feedback to students, and student self-assessment.
Participants use this template as part of Session 2 to explore the four levels of practice for a component of the Danielson Framework for Teaching.
