Computer science: 27Q062

This collection of resources, from PS 62 The Magnet School of Computer Science and Innovation, illustrates what a robust Computer Science (CS) program, in which every student has instruction in CS, looks like. It includes a variety of resources, such as an annotated list of administrative moves, sample CS teacher schedules, assessments, K-5 scope and sequence, and lists of free resources and activities, that educators can use to develop or expand their own CS practices. These resources can inform and guide development of practices from a single classroom up to a schoolwide initiative.

Included Resources

This packet, created by the Magnet School for Computer Science and Innovation, contains a collection of resources and guidance for creating a robust computer science program for all students. It includes a coding scope and sequence, sample projects and rubric, lists of resources (some of which are free), an overview of how the schedule and professional development support the program, and more. Educators can use these resources to start or continue developing computer science instruction in their contexts, ranging from an individual classroom to a schoolwide program.
