Citizen Science Teacher Experimentation Program: Climate Change Project Playbooks

The Citizen Science Teacher Experimentation Program Project Playbooks are resources that support teachers in planning and implementing projects that investigate and take action on five different aspects of climate change in New York City. These playbooks were developed by NYCDOE teachers and external partners during the 2020-21 school year, and can be implemented in in-person, remote, and hybrid settings. While primarily designed for middle school science classrooms, these playbooks could also be adapted for upper elementary or high school classes and can be used in school-day classes or as part of afterschool or summer STEM programming. For questions about these playbooks, please reach out to the NYCDOE STEM team at STEM@schools.nyc.gov.
