Using student self-assessment to foster independence

In this professional learning activity, participants read an article on student self-assessment and discuss how introducing or improving the use of self-assessment in their classrooms can impact student independence and ownership of learning. They also identify one strategy for implementing/further integrating student self-assessment techniques in their classroom practice.
